Welcome to Agadir!  Your private accessible transport driver will meet you and your group at the port at 9:30 AM (or your arranged time) to start your driving tour of Agadir, Morocco.

First, you will drive up to Ancienne Talborjt, a massive mounded plateau which entombs around 15,000 that died in the 1960 earthquake that destroyed Agadir. Continue up to the old Kasbah which gives an amazing view of the new city and the impeccable beach that stretches into the distance.

Next, head into town to Souk el Had (literally, the Sunday Market, which is now open all days except Monday). Explore the 6,000 plus stalls—many of the walkways are shaded giving some respite from the warm Moroccan sun. This is a true Moroccan experience and opens your eyes to how the past and the present mesh for everyday Moroccan shopping. The vast variety of fruits and vegetables from the surrounding region are particularly impressive.

Finally, head off toward the commercial port where you can see boats being built, watch the fishermen bring in their catch and even purchase fresh fish at unbeatable prices which expert locals will happily grill for you on the spot at the gate!

Afterwards, we leave enough time for you to enjoy some time at the beach relaxing. Your excursion includes a beach wheelchair for you to fully enjoy the beach and some relaxing time in the warm ocean waters of Agadir!

When you are ready, it is only a short jaunt back to the cruise ship in plenty of time prior to your departure!

Is it Accessible?

Agadir is one of Morocco’s youngest cities, having been rebuild after an earthquake in the 1960’s. Therefore, you will find wide sidewalks and dropped curbs, although this is Morocco and so you may encounter some uneven paths of travel and the occasional curb. Your driver will know where accessible bathrooms can be found and Moroccan hospitality can be your greatest asset in gaining access to this beautiful city!
