Man in wheelchair in front of Volubilis

It was not easy to find somewhere in Marrakech to hire a wheelchair. However, when I did and contacted Morocco Accessible Travel Consultants everything went well. I explained what I needed and Erik came back to me with a reasonable quote and confirmation that the wheelchair would be delivered and collected from my hotel at the times I requested. The wheelchair was ideal for me, easy collapsed for the trips into the square and souks. I was a bit apprehensive how I would get on in the very busy town and traffic but I have to say without exception all of the locals both pedestrians and on the many mopeds were very considerate and helpful. Also in the souks unlike in some similar markets in other countries the sellers do not over pressurize to get you to buy. Taxi fares are reasonable and I would recommend anybody considering a visit, do not hesitate, go for it. One last comment, Marrakech airport is only 10 months old and very impressive.
