First, let me give you some background into the organisation of the tour and the company behind it. My wife Claire has mobility issues, and although she can transfer with assistance, she spends most of her time in a wheelchair. This always produces challenges but the pro’s in morocco outweigh the cons.

Our tour was with Morocco Accessible Travel in Fez and they provided a private tour which means they provided a suitable car, driver and booked all the accommodation & activities along the way. I decided to go with the private tour in Morocco because my perception was that Morocco, an Arabic speaking country, wheelchair unfriendly and MAD drivers would not suit self-managed bookings. This was not an easy decision because I normally travel independently using the trip advisor network extensively and look to save the dollars.

Managed by Erik and his team at head office (English speakers) and their driver Jamal was amazing for his flexibility, tolerance and tireless enthusiasm to show us his country. So MY FIRST TIP is get yourself a good tour company to hold your hand. We hit the jackpot with Morocco Accessible Travel.
